Hey guys, since yesterday I have been experiencing a huge problem with my computer. This is when I turn on my laptop, soon after I get the blue screen of death.
This is exactly what it says on the screen:
Quote:
A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME
If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check to make sure any new hardware or software is properly installed. If this is a new installation, ask your hardware or software manufacturer for any windows updates you might need.
If problems continue, disable or remove any newly installed hardware or software. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use Safe Mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.
Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x000000ED (0x82376C08, 0x0000006, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

I've read a million things to try and rectify my problem, but none help. I did the chkdsk /p thing in recovery console and that got stuck at 75% and so did the chkdsk /r thing.
The other day whilst still using my laptop, I put it down quite hard, could that have been the problem? Though it still worked then for the rest of the night, it was only the following night when I booted up again when this problem first occurred.
Any help at all would be GREATLY appreciated!!

Thanks in advance,
Stuart.
