Idea Setting up Internet Connection Sharing with Xbox 360

I'm trying to set up my Xbox 360 for online play without having to buy the wireless adapter, because it's expensive and I think I might already have the materials to get it up and running. I have a wireless router that I got from a friend, but my ISP won't let me switch it out with the wired router I currently use. I was going to connect the wireless router to my 360 via Ethernet cable, and put the router in client mode (I put the micro DD-WRT vintage firmware on it) to work as a Ethernet bridge. Then, I was going to connect that via wireless to my desktop on the side of my house that has the router. First of all, could someone tell me if it's even possible to set this up and share the connection, and if it is possible, what steps do I take to set it up? The router is Linksys wrt54g v.3 and my desktop will have wireless via a Linksys wireless g PCI card that a friend is giving me. I'm really hoping that I can get it to work... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
