Re: xxclone now drives not reconised
Multiple fault possibilities:
1. Motherboard fault
2. IDE or SATA controller fault
3. HDD failure
4. Power supply failure
You may be killing drives by plugging them into a malfunctioning motherboard. If you don't believe me, I know of an instance where one malfunctioning external USB enclosure recently killed 3 HDDs for one very unlucky person.
You need to test your hard drives outside this system. The easiest way is to put them in a USB enclosure and attempt to access them from another system. If they are recognized, but file system is corrupt, which is common, then you'd follow my instructions in the signature to get your damaged data off them first before doing anything else.
If you are lucky, your hard drives are still alive and it's something else that's wrong with the system. If not, and your hard drives were killed, that will be very expensive to fix.
There is also one possible motherboard fault that has nothing to do with any of this as well - check if any of your fans accidentally got disconnected or is dead. That's a remote possibility, but I had that happen on one of my imaging stations last night.
