well, after googling the problem, i found other people mentioned that they didn't have enough thermal paste. i put too much on there last time and while it booted, my cpu temp was around 50C. I put too little this time and it wouldn't start. I put more in and it still wouldn't start.

another said it was due to memory. i took both of them out, put only one in to try to boot, still shuts off after 1 second.

if all of this only cost me 10 bucks, i would've smashed it to pieces... urgh....
