beeping is the wrong word. what's happening is the MSI program is not reading the cpu fan from the mobo, so it's sending a siren noise through the sound channel to the speaker. but once i close that program, the siren is gone.

so now would there still be a difference between plugging into the sys fan vs. cpu fan slot?
