Vista 64 NOT showing .avi thumbnails on explorer
Hi guys
Again this is a pain...I changed to Vista Ultimate 64bits a week ago, and again the damn thumbnail problem on windows explorer...
I managed to solve this on 32bits Vista and i have a post here but the same solutions doesnt' work on 64bits
What i did to solve on 32bits Vista is
1) install fresh vista
2) open the avi file with crystal player
3) crystal player told me "do you want to load the codec for this files?"
4) so that was all, he downloaded some avi basic pack and everything worked fine
Same thing i tried on vista 64 but no luck
1) i tried that solution
2) i tried the registry fixes
3) i installed klite codeck pack
4) i installed combined comunity codeck pack
5) i installed vista codec package
Well no luck...Also if i open ANY avi file i whatever player i choose i can see it perfect, but no thumbnails...BUT the only player that does not work is Windows Media Center says..."no codec to display the movie" and "cannot show thumbnail"
Well hope someone can figured out this and can help me
Cheers to all
Sergio
