your laptop requires a specific voltage. measure the output of your adapter if it matches the laptop requirement.

if your adapter outputs enough voltage, check your DC jack connection (laptop side). may be it is loose or has lifted from the motherboard.

best if you have a good spare battery. if it works with battery, that will rule out the motherboard. so i suggest you get hold of a working one, buy or borrow one as that would be a great help in this situation.
