Mike,
This doesn't have anything to do with corruption, I am just replying to your note so that you will contact me.
I have stayed with Norton Int. Security 2007 because of the "ad blocking" only. I want to try some better rated and faster running products for virus protection and firewall function, but haven't for one reason only - ad blocking.
So, what did Symantec just do? Everything was working perfectly and all of a sudden the ad blocking quit working on both my Vista and XP machines? Some update killed the add-on pack function. If Symantec has decided to kill the ad blocking function for 2007, and won't bring it back for 2008 versions on, there is absolutely no reason to stick with Symantec any more. After 12 years using your products that is a shame that the ad blocking function was not valued for what it was - a great function.
Let me know why Symantec decided to kill this function and if they will not reactivate it on my 2007 Internet Sec. add-on pack, let me know so I can try out some other products like Kaspersky.
Thanks, Mark

Hello Mark,
This is Mike from the Norton Authorized Support Team.
Because both Internet Explorer, Firefox and other modern web browsers already contain a pop-up blocking feature, Symantec has decided to remove this feature set from it's products.
Norton Add-on Pack and pop-up blocker
Thank you,
Mike
