ASUS X53 stuck at BOOT! How to overcome it?!

So my brand new ASUS X53SA has some sort of a graphic conflict since day 1 (already posted the problem here, with no answers). Its ATI HD 2600 seems to freeze the computer everytime I use software that requires Direct 3D... sometimes even movies.

But today, after a crash, my laptop restarted and after the BIOS post, it prompted me for 2 choices:

1) Start Windows Vista and repair boot section.

2) Start Windows Vista normally.

Needless to say that option 1) doesn't really do a thing.
And option 2) just restarts the laptop, and shows this menu again!

So I can't backup my data before I send it back to ASUS to repair the graphic driver. I have no idea what to do.

Is it true that hard drives with Vista install won't let you copy the data directly from the hard drive, because it encripts it? If so, how to overcome this? I obviously need my own data, which I know it's still there.

Either a way to backup the data using external SATA boxes, or a way to remove this menu and login into Windows again (to backup the data normally), would be a tremendous help. Thank you.
