[SOLVED] DWL-G520 rev. b. says its connected, browsers time out

Hello, I've been having some real bad problems with this networking stuff.
After installing the Airplus Xtreme G on my other computer, it works fine.
However, time to time there would be extended periods of failure.

I called up my internet provider, Comcast, and they really don't seem to care at all.
The problem: The connection, settings, and data are all correctly input and working! In addition, on my Taskbar on the bottom, all the way to the right, the blinking computer icon (the networking icon) states that my computer is connected and fully established to the internet. However, when I open up a browser, Firefox or Internet Explorer, and I click the Home Page icon (which leads to google), i get a greyed out/timed out message from both browsers.

Now, this has been really bothering me the last few days since I need to use the internet for my studies and term assignments. Also, this is not the first time something like this happened. The last time it happened, I had to wait it out on that computer and instead use my other one.

In order to attempt to solve the problem, I uninstalled the driver and reinstalled it again, and then updated the driver to the latest one. However, this did not work at all

I have a Comcast internet provider, a D-Link access point (DI-624) and a modem thing or something like that, provided by Comcast, motorola made. All the above are "in the green" and says that everything is working fine. How come my wireless card is not? Please help!
