Laptop Ram

Hey guys

My dad recently got a hand me down sony vaio laptop from her sister and I was wondering about upgrading the RAM. Its pretty old but it seems workable for my dad's purposes-just ms office work related stuff and internet. These are the specs from everest.

Right now it has 2 256MB sticks which are PC 2700 DDR SDRAM running at 166 MHZ. The mobo is a Sony Corporation Q-Project and the info on the mem bus properties say DDR SDRAM bus type, 64-bit bus width and 266 MHz effective clock. Does this mean that any ram sticks that can run over 266 MHz will be incompatible and only PC 2700 DDR SODIMM ram sticks will work. Does SD=SODIMM? I was thinking of upping the memory to 1GB.
