My System

Re: no display

Well I had the same thing happen with my 478 board. After 3 different cpus of the same model number (all oem). The last thing I tried was to update my bios. There was an update out just for upgraded cpus. But something went wrong and I messed up my bios. So I cant say for a 100% fact that it was the oem chip or the bios. Though I displayed fine and was able to run the computer. It just paused/stalled about once a minute for a second or so. This very well could be a totally different problem. Still lots of things to check before giving up. :)

I would read up on voltages and such to make sure the mobo is getting the power it needs by getting a program that reads em. Possible to test a non oem cpu of the same type? Might take your system into a locale place and have em test the cpu and or the board. That would be the cheapest way I guess.
