Your PSU is far too week to support such a powerful graphics card. Which is why all your games are struggling. You may see a similar performance from your Old 7600 because that was a low end Graphics card. Your PSU is now trying to run a card that is 5-10 times more powerful than the 7600.

Failure to get an adequate PSU for the 9800GX2 (Or any other hardware) can result in Physical hardware damage (Which is not covered by warranty), and the possibility of your PSU Exploding due to the amount of stress its put under.
