My System

Re: CPU upgrade

Hi, it depends on your motherboard & it's BIOS. These dictate what components can be installed. So, what motherboard do you have?
Your motherboard manufacturer will have a CPU Support List for it, on it's website.

There are a few other things to think of.....
Does the performance increase justify the cost?
Will your present RAM compliment the upgrade, or hold it back?
Will your Power Supply cope ok?

Best to do some homework first, and get the most out of your motherboard and the components you already have.

Whenever I start upgrading, I end up with a completely new system.....lol.
