I don't know the tecnical names. Computer 1 is connected to a linksis 5 port work group hub, by way of a big blue cat 5 cable that looks like an oversized telephone cable. It is connected into the slot that says "uplink". Computer 2 is connected to this hub using the same type of cable and it is connected to the slot that says "1". This hub is self powered. Nothing about the cables or the way that they are hooked up has changed since the last time that I had my home network set up. The only change, is that computer one is now different. Same hard drive, but totally different mother board, graphics card, power sup, etc... The only thing that I wish to accomplish as far as internet is I would like computer 2 to dial up through computer 1 just like it used to so that my husband and I can get online at the same time.
