Alright, I'm wondering about Damn Small Linux.

I tried to run Xubuntu on my old computer and got an error saying the installer needed 256MB of RAM. So I would like to downgrade.

My question is, will DSL let me experience Linux properly? Like will it benefit me at all when I later upgrade to a full distro? Or will using Ubuntu be like starting over?
