Re: Quicktime viewing windows media

What kind of files are they, extention? Flip4Mac will play true Windows Media files, files that were made with Windows Media, ones that end in .wma and .wmv. It also allows you to play a small few number of file types that Windows Media Player can play and Quicktime can't. If it's an .avi file, you'll need to get the Quicktime Divx codecs, which are free from Divx. With those two Quicktime plug-ins you'll be able to play 75% of all media files out there. For everything else, but Real Media files which can only be played by Real Media Player, use VLC. Using Quicktime with Divx and Flip4Mac and VLC, I have yet to come across any non Real Media file I can not play.
