Hi again Paul.

I followed the procedure to backup the registry before doing anything else and then decided to check restore to make sure the backup was there before starting with any registry changes.
This is the message that was flagged up when trying to open system restore.

The filename,directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect (0x8007007B)
System Restore will now close.

It seems that I cannot open System Restore.
