My advice – and I am no expert – is:-
Will your Philips Burner read any CD’s at all? Will it write to a new CD? If the answer is No; then hit the Del button on boot-Up to get into your Bios and check your new Motherboard correctly recognises the firmware of your CD burner if this is ok look at uninstalling the burner from your Windows XP ??? System and manually reinstalling - or as per the burners installation guide.
