Hi PontiAddict -
Welcome to the Tech Support Forum - Vista Support!
I suggest that you check these areas for further information if you have not already done so yet:
• The Event Viewer -
START | type eventvwr into the Start Search box | right-click on eventvwr.exe that appears up top | select Run as Administrator | view the various logs starting with the Administrative logs.
• Problem Reports and Solutions:
START | type wercon.exe into the Start Search box | right-click on wercon.exe that appears up top | select Run as Administrator | view "See Problems to Check".
• Reliability and Performance Moniter:
START | type perfmon into the Start Search box | right-click on perfmon that appears up top | select Run as Administrator | view both the Performance Moniter and the Reliability Moniter.
Another area to try is to force a BSOD 0x000000e2 (user induced - keyboard) which will produce a kernel dump (systems settings must be so set for kernel dump vs. minidump), which may help ID a cause.
HERE is the Microsoft bulletin with information to do so.
If the kernel dump is produced, I will be glad to take a look at it.
Also, in the interim, please run msinfo32 saving the output as a NFO file. You can attach that to your next post. Instructions:
•
MS32info NFO file -
START | type msinfo32 into the Start Search box | right-click on msinfo32.exe | select Run as Administrator | respond to User Access Control prompt | System Information will then come up | save the report in System Information File (NFO) format by selecting File, then Save As.
Good Luck to you.
