What is the website that you are trying to get to when you go to Gmail. Because, I bet that it has something to do with the fact that the pages are https://, not http://.

I would go into your preferences, and then go to privacy, from there click on settings in the private data section. Then, click on the settings button. This will show all the areas that will be deleted if you clear your private data. Make sure that Authenticated Sessions has a check mark next to, and anything else that you want deleted, then hit ok. Next click on the clear now button. There might be a warning box that pops up asking you if you are sure that you want to do this, just click yes, or ok, and it will clear the data.

Once that is done try to get to gmail or your bank site again, and see if you can reach it.
