I managed to solve it!

rsh sim1 vmstat -m | awk -v ORS='' 'NR == 12 {print "Sim1","\t", $6}' >> filename && rup -l | egrep sim1 | awk '{print "\t", $8}' >> filename

The above command will give me Sim1 2856 2.5
