Let's take this one step at a time.

Forget the Recovery Console for now - we can come back to that later.

If you cannot download any files to the infected machine, can you use another machine and transfer via flash drive or something similar? If so, then download combofix and save it to the desktop of the infected machine. Then just double click to run it - say "yes" to any warnings. CF will then run and provide a log to be posted back in this thread.

Edit> XP Media Centre is based on XP Pro.
