Hi,
That is usually a sign that the Video Driver is corrupted. Try removeing the driver from System Manager and reboot. Usually Windows will reinstall the driver and things will get back to normal. If not, go to the Laptop Maker's web site and download the driver or try Driversguide.com or other driver sites.
