oddly enough my friend took my pc and he said i shorted the power supply. so he had a spare part and put it in but no 512 card. i am a nub and i thought hey i can just put the card in and thats it well apparently the card that he gave didn't look like my other 512 car the back surface wasn't flat like the old one this one had squares on both sides. so i guess no handy me downs for me i am just glad it wasn't my Motherboard yikes. i need to upgrade for the pc game crysis. btw thanks you guys for the quickly response much appreciated.
