If I'm not mistaken, Metal Gear Solid 4 is having to make compromises because a single blu-ray can't hold the 50+ Gb of content that Konami wants to put on it. So for now it seems that the disc format is plateauing.
Then again there's nothing really wrong with multi-disk games.
