Yes, Obama indeed doesn't have minimal credentials for being a presidential candidate. He speaks with pride about his days as youth counselor in Chicago. Is that a qualification? Maybe, but he still didn't serve 2 full years in senate.
When a good friend of mine applied for a job at the local supermarket, she was asked what retail experience she brings with her. She said that she worked in office environments for many years and has great recommendations. That wasn't the qualification the hiring manager was looking for. He said - "you are a very nice lady and you may be the best cashier but we cannot take the chance...the risk is too high" Take the chance? What chance? What can happen if they hired her and eventually she was not a good fit? Nada...
Obama can end up being a terrific president, but can we take the chance?
With Obama, American voters are willing to take the highest possible risk. Why would we do what a supermarket manager wont?
