If you're running a server and your important business files are located on it, then you certainly should be running anti-virus on the server. Make sure you get a file server version of the anti-virus software so it will run as a service which doesn't require you be logged on for it to run. I've had too many clients that "have anti-virus on their server", however it's NOT a server version and the only time it runs a scan is when you log in to the console. Not good for servers if it doesn't run.
