Just wanted to let you know it is up and running...I am a little red-faced over this one. The board has a 20 + 4 pin connection
anda third connection for another 4 pin on the opposite side of the board. Once I plugged in the additional 12v pin it started running like a spotted pup! The ASUS User guide shows this set up, but it did not register with me or my Dad since we are accustomed to working with older boards and power supplies. Don't know if this will help anyone else, but if it does that is great.
Thanks for the feedback and support. It definitely was a power supply problem. The board is fine. Just a little fine tuning a wire placement and I will have a screaming machine!
