Re: Blue screen 0x0000008E vista (Acer laptop) - please help!

OK, so I ran the windows vista memory diagnostic tool and left it running overnight.

Most of the time it was just showing a blank black screen and this morning I thought it wasn't doing anything as the hard drive light was only flashing occassionally so I pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del but it took me to the log-in screen.

After logging in, Vista seemed to boot up normally. I got a message saying that no memory events were found.

Anyway, it's logged in in normal mode and so far (15mins) there has been no blue screen. I've done nothing different to normal apart from let the memory diagnostic tool run overnight (I set it to run 14 hours ago and then just left it). These past few days, I haven't even had time to log onto the internet after putting my laptop on because the blue screen occurs pretty much straightaway after logging in.

I'm very confused now!!
