Turn off the PC and try plugging that card into a different PCI slot. Power on the PC and see if it detects new hardware. Go into device manager (right-click My Computer, click Properties, click "Hardware" tab at the top, then click "Device Manager" button). Open up Network Adapters - do you see any devices or devices with red or yellow "!" or "X" next to them? Try clicking "Action" (at the top), "Scan for Hardware Changes". Does it detect the card now?
