hi BrynnaC,

it looks like overheating. does this happen every after 5mins. after power ON (consistently)? do you see any other error? use SpeedFan or NHC to monitor your temps.

what you can do right now is make sure the vents are clear of any obstruction. take can of compressed air and shoot some thru the vents. make sure the vents and the heatsink is free of dust or any foreign matter. if you can open it up the better so you can clean up the insides and reapply thermal compound.

as for the lines on the screen, does it happen when system heats up? if so, it could be your video card. how does the lines look like (color, width, length, etc.)?
