Re: Vista taking way too long to load all of a sudden approx. 6-7mins.

Perform a disk cleanup

1. Start\Computer and right click C:
2. Select Properties and select Disk Cleanup
3. In the More Options under System Restore And Shado Copies select CleanUp
***This will delete all backups except the latest 2,only use this if you have two good restore points created
4. Under the Disk Cleanup tab select ALL the options and select OK

This will free up valuable space and delete alot of temporary files that slows your system down

Reduce startup programs

1. Start\Run
2. Type MSConfig and hit enter
3. Under the Startup tab uncheck everything that isn't important to load

I currently only have 3, If you have any doubts about a process search for it using the Process Library

4. Once done select Apply,Ok and close without restart

Reduce startup process's

1. Start\Control Panel\Security\Windows Defender\Tools\Software Explorer
2. The drop down menu should already be at Startup Programs
3. Here you can see not just the programs but the process's that run at startup
4. To disable one from running select the process or program and select disable to disable the option from the startup or select remove to stop it from appearing as a startup item
5. Again if you have any doubts about a process search for it using the Process Library

This should improve your startup time dramatically

Regards

Craig
