The KB900485 fix is for "Stop 0x7E" - do you have those as well?

Did you try moving the IDE HDD plug?
The SATA/IDE setting in BIOS?

You know, a wonky PSU could be causing all of those problems:
Disappearing HDDs, BSODs, overheating etc.

Did you enable minidumps?
1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (64k).

Please post a screenshot of SensorsView.
