okay i am like 97% positive all those things except poker stars you have noticed were put on after the problem.
I have actual had this problem for months,since att upgraded their I(I am not sure of the exact title) online protection to add norten to it,they sent the upgrades to soon and it was faulty soooo
and in safemode I still can't get into my yahoo games I want to play called spelldown.
I haven't treid using a cd in safemode however I will follow your steps and see what happens it couldn't hurt.
also when i try to uninstall AVG i get this message : Installer initialization failed due to following error:
Error: Initialization of the language file "C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG7" failed.
General failure.
