2. Settings for hard disk drive are not correct.
Tried using correctly jumpered IDE (master) and checked Bios for recognition. Used a reformatted SATA as well (Seagate - website says it didn't need extra RAID drivers for F6 install).
3. Floppy diskette or CD in computer causing issue.
CD in computer is Windows disc. Shouldn't be the issue. Tried different CD drives and disconnected floppy
4. Boot devices not set properly.
Checked Bios. Drives seem correct and I have pulled battery on Bios for reset.
5. BIOS corrupt or misc. setting not set properly.
Reset bios. (I don't think any default should send anything over the edge? Should it?)
6. Connections loose or disconnected.
Connections on drive should not be loose because preliminary XP installation has occured.
7. Bad Hard disk drive or other bad hardware.
Tried different drives, new power supply, dusted fans and heatsink, checked RAM and swapped video cards.
My question remains, is there any way a defective MOBO or CPU can even post or do you get blank screen?
Many thanks.
