Re: Blue screen 0x0000008E vista (Acer laptop) - please help!

Good Morning Katiesam. . .

I heard that you were in the market for a memory test... well you just happen to have one on board your system:

You can use the in-house Windows Vista Memory Diagnostic Tool.
First - close all open windows and programs. Then click on START; type MdSched.exe in the Start Search box; right-click on MdSched.exe; select Run as Administrator; answer the UAC prompt; then select the option to re-start your system so that the program can run.
It will most likely take several hours to complete.

Or you can download Memtest86+ found HERE, then burn an ISO DVD/CD and boot-up with it. This test can take >12 hours.

I have downloaded your files and expect to start on them later today. I will keep you posted. Thanks.

Regards. . .

JC
