Hey your problem isn't a virus i've installed firefox 3b5 and it runs fine... i suggest you check your network settings, as it's a problem with IE and firefox and they don't share internet settings but they do share network settings.... you could check your proxy, but firefox normally says "firefox cannot find the proxy server" when its a proxy problem...

You need to thourougly check your network settings and ensure your network isn't local only, also what type of network do you have? do you have a router? if yes then try ping it (usually 192.168.1.1, but it all depends on the setup)
