The BIOS update that you might need is to make a PCIE 2.0 card work on your motherboard that supports PCIE 1.0/1.1, nothing to do with the CPU.

I'm not sure what you mean by "on by board it stod Rev. 1.02G". Check your motherboard manual to see if the PCIE slots are 1.0, 1.1 or 2.0. It was an old Asus M2 motherboard that I had trouble with. If you need a BIOS update you can get it from the Asus website, but don't update if the graphics card is already supported by your mobo.
