ok so a few days ago i somehow got a virus warning. I use symantec antivirus. it said the virus name was W32.IRCBot.Gen and it pretty much wouldn't do anything besides erase the file that it would try and create in my temp internet files folder. So from there I went online and tried to research the virus and see if i couldn't manually erase it. I tried turning off my system restore and booting into safe mode and then finding the virus to erase it. Unfortunately symantec antivirus cant find the virus when it scans my pc...it only finds it when it tries to create a file in my temp folder. So I tried searching my registry for keys that the virus may have created. I again came up empty. I then downloaded a program called kaspersky antivirus. It finds the virus but only blocks it from creating files and wont erase it completely. My situation as of now is that occasionally the virus will try and create a file and symantec or kaspersky will block it and then my internet ( i am on a wireless connection) will disconnect and take a minute b4 it reconnects automatically. The antivirus programs says that the virus has a program at C:/boot.exe (which i cant find), an object detected: Trojan program Backdoor.Win32.IRCBot.auf URL:
http://www.endlesscup.com/illu.exe, and process detected: riskware Invader Running process: C:\WINDOWS\system32\tskmngr.exe. It has been slowing my computer down and disconnecting my internet randomly. Here are the log files from hijackthis:
