Well, I followed your advice.

Although the uninstall and reinstall went smoothly, I still have the same issue. I can't see the menu bar, and when I open up the tools menu, the menu bar is checked (and can't be changed).

Clearly this isn't a file problem, it has to be the registry. Any other suggestions?
