Re: "preparing your desktop" continuous loop
Here is a way to get your desktop back:
Open an elevated command prompt
Right click the tak bar and select task manager
Terminate the process explorer.exe
At a command prompt type
SET USERPROFILE=C:\USERS\MMM
Then type
EXPLORER.EXE
