Running 2 IPs From Same System, Possible?
I play a text-based game online (the game has its own client, its not web-based) where multiple characters can be played simultaneously, each in their own window. However, the game was recently changed to allow only 1 character online per IP.
Now, I have 2 computers.. so I can still play the game with 2 characters simultaneously, but it is quite a burden having to use 2 computers, jumping back and forth between the 2.
Many people openly play multiple characters at once with multiple computers and they are allowed, so Im assuming that using this method would be allowed as well, if it is possible:
I was wondering if there was any possible way for one computer to use 2 (or more) IPs at once or otherwise 'trick' the server running the game into allowing me to bypass the IP check that only allows one character?
Would there be a program or settings I could use, or would it be dependent on certain hardware (if its even possible)?
Thanks in advance :)
