Swapped Ram = Lower Computer Speed
Before I begin, I'm not entirely sure if it is a RAM problem or a virus problem. I posted a topic before mentioning that I had two RAMS from different brands (Kingston & TwinMos) running but my computer still felt slow. From what I understand, the compatibility issues arising from the two different brands would have caused my computer speed to slow down.
So here's a new problem. Right now I removed the TwinMos RAM & am using the Kingston (KTC1G-UDIMM) 1 gig RAM now. But the speed issue still exists where some applications just take too much time to load & even opening up "My Computer" will take a long time to load.
I have this program called SmartRam where it gives me a liveupdate on the RAM usage my computer is using. I experience "lags" even though the programme mentions at least 700mb free. Similarly, my offline games also give me lags which I never experienced with the old one.
Using the old TwinMos RAM is quite impossible as I have sold it of & the Kingston RAm I just got it within one month ago. I'm just going to mention that I'm not sure if it is a RAM problem or a virus problem but I'm going to assume that it is a RAM problem since my virus programme doesn't ring any alerts yet.
P.S: I do understand that 2gig of RAM would be faster than just a single gig of RAM. But this situation feels like that is not the issue as all along I have been using 1gig of RAM & only recently I decided on the upgrade
