Re: Questions About Modems/Internet

You need a wireless router. If you purchase a "wireless modem", it's a modem/router, there is no such thing as a plain wireless modem.

What does Road Runner supply as their standard modem for the broadband connection? Many ISP's provide a wireless router nowadays, so you may not need anything on that end.

One router will do it, and you can connect as many machines as you like to it. Wired is easier to get working, but wireless is more practical for computers that would be difficult to wire to the router/model location.
