Hi,

By re-resetting the BIOS by taking out the battery, I am no longer getting the beeping noise. I don't know what I did the first time, but the PC didn't like it.

Right now I have the HD jumper set to cable select, and I only have HDD-0 set as an option in the BIOS. (No CD-Rom, Floppy, etc). At this point, it still takes 10 minutes to get past the Detecting IDE Drives message, but the final error message tells me to insert a system disk.

I am just confused as to why my 30 GB old drive still works with a broken pin, but the one that seems to be intact won't boot.
