Hi,

just to answer your questions, it is yes and yes.

run some tests on your hard drive to be sure. as for the motherboard, if you see POST you are still on the 'OK' side. but if not, it could be your motherboard or your video card. so if you are sure it is not your video card, then it could be the motherboard.

by the way, have you tested your monitor to work on another PC? as i read here, you tested your 2 video cards using the same monitor. i am thinking if ever the monitor is malfunctioning, then how will you know unless you used another one in its place or you tried using that monitor on a different PC.

just my 2 cents... i hope it made sense...
