The problem with the above proof is that you used the wrong definition of the root of evil. The proper definition is "The love of money is the root of all evil", therefore the proof is dead.

Someone disprove this proof:

Theorem: A cat has nine tails.

1. No cat has eight tails - well have you ever seen one with eight tails?
2. A cat has one more tail than no cat - well duh
3. A cat has nine tails - eight plus one equals nine...
