What was interesting, after the CHKDSK scan was complete and it brought me to the logon screen, I logged in and everything was completely normal and worked fine. To test it, I rebooted again and found it once again went into freezing up. I wonder what happened?

Also, I will run the Norton Removal Tool asap. The problem is that I was using the campus-provided NAV "client" so i'm not sure what year it would fall under... it seems to be a rolling thing that just keeps getting updated. Any suggestions on what removal tool to try?

Thanks
