Hi all
Just to add another precaution for the future: Microsoft does not send out email containing patches, updates, or spyware removal software. Should you receive such email, it is most likely a "phishing" ruse -- which tries to fool you into installing rogue software (just as TheShadow mentioned).
Uninstall - manually delete if necessary, any files related to "Spyware Destructor". Try scanning with your installed antivirus, on "thorough" settings, and try scanning with Spybot or AdAware - or any of the well-recommended tools TheShadow pointed you to. If you find evidence of serious infection, you might benefit from the 5-Step Security Checklist in the TSF Security forums ---

Best of luck
